DESCRIPTION
The application hangs and becomes unresponsive for a period of time when
clicking the Terminal tab. Furthermore, if the software is restarted with the
Terminal left open, it experiences the same delay upon launching.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the kate.
2. Click on the Terminal (located at the bottom of the interface).
3. Observe that the kate freezes and becomes unresponsive for a period of time.
2.1.Keep the Terminal open, close the kate, and then reopen it.
2.2Observe that the kate freezes again before becoming responsive.
OBSERVED RESULT
The kate hangs and is unresponsive for a noticeable duration when interacting
with or restarting with the Terminal panel.
EXPECTED RESULT
The kate should remain responsive when clicking the Terminal or restarting with
it open.
