Summary: Weather Report and Public Wi-Fi aren't great friends.
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: CachyOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Weather widget
          Assignee: [email protected]

May be unhelpful, as this is my first time using gdb.

DESCRIPTION
Plasmashell will begin crashing repeatedly if connecting to a public Wi-Fi
network that has a login portal.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up Weather Report
2. Go to your local McDonald's or Wendy's, some place with a Wi-Fi login portal
3. Connect to Wi-Fi
4. Restart Plasmashell before logging in, but while connected to the network

OBSERVED RESULT
Plasmashell will begin to start crashing itself repeatedly, until it gives up

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasmashell should continue running, as it does with Weather Report disabled.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: CachyOS, happens in Arch too
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.28.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Issue stops as soon as you've signed into the network.
Issue does not happen if Weather Report is disabled.
Issue happens if trying to set up Weather Report for the first time in this
login-pending state too.

My guess is that it sees it's connected to a network, tries to pull from
weather.gov, but since it isn't technically connected fully, it fails, and
freaks out.
