Example project demonstrating the bug
DESCRIPTION
Adding a no-op transform effect to an image sequence clip causes checkerboard
patterns to be visible in place of the dissolving frame during dissolves
between images in the sequence if the consecutive images are of different pixel
dimensions.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the attached example project.
2. Look at the preview at 00:00:02,00; be disappointed
3. There is only one clip in the project, an image sequence, and it appears
once in the timeline. Disable the effects stack on that clip.
4. Play the preview again from the beginning so everything gets re-rendered for
the preview.
5. Look again at the preview at 00:00:02,00; notice that the problem is hidden
now
OBSERVED RESULT
Checkerboard is seen in step 2 of the sequence of steps above.
EXPECTED RESULT
No checkerboard should be seen under any circumstances in this project,
regardless of whether effects are enabled on the clip or not.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:
Sorry, there is no "kinfo" on my ubuntu system.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have filed this under Project Bin & Import because it seems to me the issue
has to be with the Image Sequence implementation, not the transform effect. No
effect should be able to break the image sequence dissolve in the way that we
observe in this bug. Apologies if I've got this wrong.
