            Bug ID: 523419
Summary: Slow Keys (Accessibility) doesn't allow repeats
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.80
       Reported In:
          Platform: KDE Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Hi I'm trying to use slow keys but it seems to not be working well both on
6.7.3 and 6.7.80. Upon enabling it repeating a key doesn't input a character,
sometimes even if you input another character before. I think this severely
reduces the usefulness of the setting (for instance you can't use the arrow
keys or backspace to edit a text).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable slow keys (System Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard filters).
2. Set to any delay you want. Click apply.
3. Type some text and try moving around it with the arrow keys or delete
several characters with backspace or the delete key.

OBSERVED RESULT

Repeated key presses are often ignored.

EXPECTED RESULT

Repeated key presses turn into input.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System : KDE Linux 2026-07-21
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.29.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
