Bug ID: 523361
Summary: In a notebook's multi-monitor setup, if the login is
at its bult-in, then the lid is closed, it's
impossible to enter the password even though the
external monitor is showing PLM's background image
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-login-manager
Version First 6.7.3
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Exit session with a external screen connected.
2. Have the login part appear on the notebook's screen.
3. Close the lid, notice that the external screen is still showing PLM's
background image.
4. Enter your password.
OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens, similar to Bug 517930
EXPECTED RESULT
One of the two:
1- The screen being off shouldn't affect the keyboard's typing capabilities at
all. ( would also fix Bug 517930 )
2- The login should shift into the external screen, allowing the user to log in
while in multi-monitor setups if the screen with the login becomes unavailable.
