Yes, my desktop PC is on a public IPv4 in a /27 block. It's unusual, but it's an intentional setup. My phones are on a separate VLAN on an RFC1918 block. The Android app let's me add the desktop's hostname via the custom device list. - it doesn't warn the resolved IP is a problem - it pings it, giving misleading connectivity status - there's zero notification/indication that incoming UDP packets are being ignored The desktop app (default Debian 13 + KDE Plasma) also gives zero warning that it won't work. It was only after moving my phones over to a separate SSID on the same /27 block and they lost visibility of each other I realized it was something strange in the app. And it took asking an LLM to actually find this report. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
