DESCRIPTION
After an update that included Plasma 6.7.0, Discover 6.7.0 gets stuck search
for updates: the Fetching updates... message never goes away, and the Update
All button is greyed out. Command-line invocation of plasma-discover,
specifying backends, still mostly works. fwiw, I'm running Fedora Kinoite,
kernel 7.0.12-201.fc44.x86_64. Though Snap is turned off in Discover Settings,
the symptom persists. Indeed, unchecking all sources in Settings does not
help. Scuttlebut on the web suggests this issue applies to some but not all
systems and distros running new Plasma.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Discover from tray icon or Plasma Application Launcher
2. Click on Updates
3. wait forever

OBSERVED RESULT
see above: Discover's Updates sits at the Fetching updates... message forever

EXPECTED RESULT
of course, one expects Discover to show a list of available updates.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window): Fedora Linux 44 (Atomic/Immutable, Kinoite)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Needless to say, updates are a critical function.
