FFMPEG 2.8.10 Frei0r 1.5 (via ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-master) I created a new project (1080p, 29.97fps), added a clip to Project Bin, then to Timeline, then added the Levels effect and raised the Input Black Level (in properties widget) above zero.
