SUMMARY
I think the display configuration settings, one of the most important settings
a user will see/use has become too overwhelming with all of it's new features
(VRR, HDR, Color Profile, Overscan, Orientation, Color Acurracy, Scaling,...).

IDEAL SOLUTION
The ideal solution would be to group the different settings into expandable
sections (Like in KDE Ark), and grey out (or even completely hide) those that
are unavailable on the user's hardware (VRR on non-VRR monitor, HDR on non-HDR
monitor).
If the hardware is present, the user could activate/deactivate a section (and
thereby a feature) via a checkbox and then expand the section to make fine
adjustments like the exact color profile to use or the VRR mode.

Of course the most basic settings (Resolution, Refresh rate, basic scaling and
maybe brightness) should not be hidden like this.

PRAGMATIC SOLUTION
Adding an expandable section called "advanced", and putting all settings that
will not be touched by a novice user under it would already reduce the
perceived mental load massively.

BACKGROUND
I've been using KDE for many many years, and i've noticed the display
configuration settings becoming more and more ovewhelming, but due to the slow
feature creep, it never reached the point where i thought about it.
A relatively new user just told me that the display configuration settings are
overwhelming, which made me realize that clutter has crept in over the years.

Thanks for reading!
