I have always drawn only on my phone screen (I know, I know, it's not officially supported, but I'm the adventurous type that installs APKs on my phone, hahaha... :) ) Anyway, I'm on beta 3 and a more recent nightly now. I haven't checked the brush editor recently, so I don't have an answer to your question right now.
