Providing a little more information...

I took a look into what's placed into the /var/lib/plasmalogin/.config
directory and found that kwinoutputconfig.json differed from the working setup
I had (for my regular user account) using SDDM.

When I manually changed the following, I was at least able to get the
plasma-login-manager screen to load:

"detectedDdcCi": true (WAS: false)
"refreshRate": 59973 (WAS: 99982)

For some reason, this monitor doesn't like the higher refresh rate (even before
raising this issue, so I've always left it at the 59.97 Hz setting with
Wayland).

These changes do allow plasma-login-manager to display the login screen *most*
of the time, but about every 3rd reboot, it won't display anything but a black
screen.

I also tried the Fedora 44 KDE Live beta iso, and plasma-login manger does not
ever display anything, though journalctl output reveals that the liveuser does
autologin though nothing is ever displayed on the graphical screen, however I
am able to switch to other ttys (and get the journalctl output).
