            Bug ID: 517313
Summary: Backups don't run automatically when disk becomes
                    available
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kup
      Version First 0.10.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: KDE Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

I have a scheduled bup-based backup task that's supposed to fire after 25 hours
(the default time). When it's been over 25 hours, I plug in my backup disk and
unlock it (tt's LUKS-encrypted), but Kup never notices it.

Manually initiating the backup with "Save New Backup" in the widget works to
trigger the backup. It's just that it never starts automatically.

I tried with "Ask for confirmation before saving backup" turned on and off; it
made no difference. In both cases Kup neither starts the backup automatically,
nor prompts automatically.

kupdaemon is running, and outputs nothing when the disk is connected. Its only
output is the following, immediately after launching:

> qt.qpa.services: Failed to register with host portal
> QDBusError("org.freedesktop.portal.Error.Failed", "Could not register app ID:
> App info not found for 'org.kde.kupdaemon'")
