            Bug ID: 516760
Summary: Opening an SMS conversation should show newest message
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: messaging-application
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Opening an SMS conversation should show newest message. Instead it shows an old
message, and often not the oldest message.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Pair an Android device running KDE Connect
2. Open the KDE Connect SMS desktop app
3. Click on a contact from the left pane for which there are many messages.

OBSERVED RESULT
The right pane appears and the top message is not the latest message. Scrolling
down with the mouse wheel causes the scroll bar to jump to the middle - older
messages have now appeared above what was previously the top message.

EXPECTED RESULT
Start at the newest message. This is the message the user is most likely
wanting to see.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is made worse by the END key not working, see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=510616, which makes scrolling to the
bottom/newest message more tedious that it should.

This is more a feature request than a bug. But over on discuss.kde.org it says
to raise it here anyway:
