Kdenlive’s AppImage doesn’t support input methods (IM) -- software needed to
type non-keyboard characters, essential for CJK users (China, Japan, Korea).
The most common Linux IM frameworks are Fcitx and IBus. To support them, an
AppImage must bundle relevant Fcitx/IBus libraries.
Krita’s AppImage already does this -- maybe you can consult them for a
solution.
