Bug ID: 516669
Summary: (regression) Delete an element (file/folder): next
element should be selected by default
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version First 25.12.1
Reported In:

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR

Target Milestone: ---
During the latest versions of Dolphin (some time after 23.04) there seem to
have been made a change that reverts specific functionality when
deleting/trashing a file in Dolphin.
After pressing delete on keyboard (to send a file to trash), next file is
highlighted, but not selected, and I cannot press delete again to delete next
file. I have to move cursor up/down and back again to select next file.
This is very tedious, when going through files, e.g. during cleanup, opening
them, and having to move up+down before being able to delete that file.
I would like previous functionality restored, where deleting a file,
automatically selects next file.
This has been reported (and fixed) before in multiple bug reports and
duplicates, so I guess this is a regression bug report.

Can this be fixed again?
Thanks.
