SUMMARY
Just to be awkward, in the UK the fiscal year for personal taxation runs from
6th April to 5th March.
I have set my fiscal year start date accordingly, and created a budget for 2026
FY with differing amounts for individual periods, but when I open the "Yearly
Budget" report and set it's start and end dates to the fiscal year of the
budget, the amounts in each month differ from what I entered in the budget.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the Fiscal year start date to 6th April
2. Start a new Budget and for any category, enter individual amounts for each
month
3. Open the "Yearly Budget" report and adjust it's start and end dates to match
the fiscal year of the budget
OBSERVED RESULT
The amounts shown in each month differ from those entered for the budget
EXPECTED RESULT
They match
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I attach a minimal test file that demonstrates the issue. It has one expense
category and a 2026 budget with individual amounts for each period. The report
"Yearly Budget (2026/27 FY)", which is in Favourites, shows the incorrect
amounts.
I suspect the discrepancy may be due to the Budget periods starting on 1st of
each month, whereas the report starts each period on 6th of the month.
