Screenshot of a file system, with one video's size circled.

SUMMARY
As I was testing a 2m1s selected zone to render for a video I'm making, I
realized that 356GB of my disk was taken up by this 2m1s video. This was
followed by an encounter with melt.exe, where I noticed my CPU's temperature
about to break into the triple digits of Celsius. When I looked at what was
causing my CPU temperature to skyrocket, melt.exe had been running in the
background for what I assume is hours. I had already cancelled a previous
render and successfully rendered the 2m1s video, however it seems that melt may
have merged these two together somehow.

This is the log of the output file, which still exists even after the
successful render has finished. These usually get deleted after the render is
complete, which confuses me.

> Started render process:
> C:/Users/tw_ne/AppData/Local/Programs/kdenlive/bin/melt.exe -loglevel error
> -progress2
> C%3A%2FUsers%2Ftw_ne%2FAppData%2FLocal%2FTemp%2Fkdenlive-IFOcPK-1.mlt
> 968 13327 1
> (extraneous lines removed, triggered spam filters)
> 25691 932652 70
> Rendering of C:/Users/tw_ne/Videos/wonderland2-introtest1.mp4 aborted,
> resulting video will probably be corrupted.
> Frame: 932652
> ideos/wonderland2-introtest1.mp4 finished

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Accidentally render whole project instead of selected zone
2. Abort render
3. Change option from "Full project" to "Selected zone."
4. Replace existing file and render
5. Successfully render

OBSERVED RESULT
Melt.exe running for hours, causing CPU temperature to skyrocket to 95°C.
Output file of selected zone rendered size as 356.3 GB.

EXPECTED RESULT
Melt.exe stops running after render finishes and kdenlive closes. Output file
of selected zone only renders in a couple gigabytes (2-5GB).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11

ADDITONAL INFORMATION
I took two screenshots, one of the file viewer (which you see now) and one
where I've opened the video, underlining the filename and the video length as
2m1s. If you would like to see the second screenshot, please let me know and
I'll send a reply with this image. I took it to show that they both have the
same name and this 2m1s video is 356.3GB, but it's better if I send you the
file viewer screenshot first.
