When the cursor is close to the edges of the canvas widow, invoking the pop-up
palette will result in auto selecting the brush under the cursor (as likely the
cursor will be hovering over the brush icons). As this happens the palette
will then close making the new selected brush active.

This is a build from master branch, on an archlinux/plasma system.
