Visual proof of the issue.
SUMMARY
In Preview, selecting all images with Ctrl-A over the image strip does select
all images, but doesn't show the images highlighted. The number in the bottom
left corner still confirms the selection.
If the images are already selected in the Thumbnail view, and then you switch
to preview, the highlight is shown as expected.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select only one image, click Preview
2. Press Ctrl-A to select all images
OBSERVED RESULT
Bottom left selected items updates properly, strip highlight does not
EXPECTED RESULT
Strip images should all be highlighted
