            Bug ID: 374827
Summary: Thin CJK text in message viewer when using Noto Sans
                    CJK fonts
           Product: kmail2
           Version: 5.4.0
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: UI
          Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org

Screenshot of message viewer

In openSUSE Tumbleweed, Noto Sans CJK SC is the default Simple Chinese font. It
is special because it provide extra thin fonts. When KMail renders the message,
Chinese text will be rendered with thin fonts, but Latin text will use regular
fonts.

This only affect the message viewer, not other UI. For example, message list
use regular fonts, not thin fonts. Also, it won't affect Latin text, which use
Noto Sans fonts providing thin fonts, too.

Not sure if this is the problem of HTML render engine or Noto Sans CJK fonts.
