I confirm the dysfunction with 5.4.0 AppImage.
It's strange all work fine with video thumbnails until few days. Somebody has
changed something about ?

Just press F5 in an album with video. Note that to preview video or to slide
video work perfectly. So it's not a codec or QtAV problem.
Can you confirm the dysfunction ?
