Might I even suggest to do away with the stars altogether?

For example, if I open discover and sort 'Education' apps by rating, I find it
difficult differentiating between 4.8/5 & 4.9/5 by looking at 4 whole stars
plus one-almost-full star. I find myself having to click on the individual apps
just to check the decimal rating.

I would rather see - 3.8/5 (41 reviews) Vs.
***three-and-four-fifths-of-one-star*** (41 reviews).

The star rating system, in a sense, is more of a middle man that doesn't
actually provide accurate information to the user. The decimal rating system is
much more accurate, clear & easy to read and is also much easier to compare
with other apps in a list.
