Bug ID: 506350
Summary: Volume Increase and Decrease sound cannot be changed
anymore through Notification Sound Slider
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.4.1
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Audio in general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
With my Sound card "Sound Blaster Z SE" is a loud noise at 30% while everything
under it is kind of quiet.
But I often decrease every application sound and increase the System volume to
35% or 40%, to have a louder Firefox (it's decreased by about:config, so I have
a better Youtube audio slider) and everything other app is decreased.
Another feature of the Sound card, is that its focusing on the loudest
Application and making every other application a quieter.
The issue: Every time I increase or decrease the System Sound after the Plasma
6.4.1 update, I get firstly Ear-Raped and secondly, everything becomes very
very quiet for 7 seconds till the Focus changes back.
This really is not a behavior I want, and I wished this is a critical issue,
but everything works (except my sanity).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Decrease all apps sound volume.
2. Make your System sound higher than usual (Maybe without a sound card, try
150%)
3. Try to reduce "Notification Sound"
OBSERVED RESULT
Even at 0%, I get a very loud "bump" sound.
EXPECTED RESULT
The "bump" sound should be changed with the slider as usual.
