Having same problem. The workaround with restarting the service works for me.

System:
  Kernel: 6.12.34-1-MANJARO arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 15.1.1
Desktop: KDE Plasma v: 6.3.5 Distro: Manjaro base: Arch Linux

I've noticed one thing in my setup. I'm running a Lenovo Thinkbook docked to an
ThinkPad Dock 40AY (USB-C dock). When no external monitors are attached, this
problem does not occur. I can lock screen and I can switch the laptop to
standby without any problems. But most time, I'm using two external monitors
(because the lid is closed). The last days I've worked without external
monitors only, without any problems. But yesterday, while laptop was running
I've attached both external monitors to dock again. After work I've sent the
laptop to standby. This morning, I woke up the system and immediately on the
lock screen, I noticed that the fans speed up. So I think, it might be related
to a multi monitor setup only?
