            Bug ID: 506066
Summary: Confirmation to apply label changes not enforced
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First master
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: System Monitor widgets
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

On Sensors Details pages of System Monitor widgets, it is possible to click the
'pen' icon and change a sensor label, then navigate away from the page/click
OK/Cancel without the change applying (if tick is not clicked). This does NOT
trigger the Apply Settings prompt.

This should be rectified since it can lead to label changes not being applied
and thus user confusion. The tick setting to confirm the label change is
superfluous and any label changes should instead trigger the Apply Settings
prompt for consistency.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On desktop, right click -> Enter Edit Mode
2. Add a System Monitor widget such as Hard Disk Activity
3. On Sensors Details Page, modify the label e.g. Write Rate using 'pen' icon,
WITHOUT clicking tick

OBSERVED RESULT

Reopen settings, sensor label remains in 'label edit' mode with changes NOT
applied.

EXPECTED RESULT

Navigating away from the Sensors Details page (to another page or using
Ok/Cancel) should trigger Apply Settings prompt. The label change tick should
be removed and the Apply Settings prompt used instead.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
