At that point I had only used Chromium and no other software other than the packages that are loaded as part of boot-up. A few minutes ago, I tried copying from various sources, with no problems after copying from other sites, LibreOffice and kate. Then I tried copying a password from kdewallet and the new text did not appear in the Clipboard list. Not only that, when I tried to paste the copied password into kate, I got the previous string and not the required password. In other words; the bug originally reported.
