SUMMARY
For kdenlive-25.04.2-x86_64.AppImage and GIMP 3.02, the menu bar disappeared
after my upgrade to kubuntu 25.04 from kubuntu 24.10, and could not be restored
through the usual means. I managed to get those menus working by starting
Background Services from krunner and disabling "Application menus daemon". This
caused some other menus to disappear, but that has been less of an issue for me
thus far.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Upgrade from Kubuntu 24.10 to Kubuntu 25.04.
2. Run kdenlive 25.04-2 from the AppImage or GIMP 3.02 (installed with
Kubuntu).
OBSERVED RESULT
The menu bar did not appear and could not be restored.
EXPECTED RESULT
The menu bar would act appear as in previous versions of Kubuntu.
