What I did is the following: - open Konqueror - enter a directory in the location bar (for example, ~), which displays it in the Dolphin part - middle click on a directory What happens is that the directory is opened in a new tab, that tab is made active and it gets focus (for example, pressing the right arrow, selects the second file or directory). Note that it may look not having focus as when the view is opened, there's no selected item.
