Bug ID: 504840 Summary: Kickoff sometimes blanks out when you select "All Applications" Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version First 6.3.5 Reported In: Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) widget Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: radical...@proton.me CC: mikel5...@gmail.com, noaha...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY When opening the Kickoff menu and clicking on "All Applications", the menu might sometimes blank out and show nothing, rather than actually show all apps, with the all applications category only loading after other categories are clicked on. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on Kickoff 2. Select All Applications 3. Witness the nothingness OBSERVED RESULT Awkwardly blank Kickoff EXPECTED RESULT All my applications are shown SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.14.6-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 22 × Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 155H Memory: 15.1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Intel® Graphics (i915, haven't tested if this happens with xe) Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 21M70024GR System Version: ThinkPad E14 Gen 6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Maybe this could be a power management blunder? due to the way tuned-ppd handles intel chips, using a different method of downclocking that chokes desktop performance, though I've seen this on moments where I was running on the performance profile with high gpu utilization (ie, running a game). I can't consistently recreate this though, will attach a video and/or photo when I can. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
