Re-enabling the service was more difficult - Background Services are hidden
from System Settings now! I got to them via `kcmshell6 kcm_kded` and turned the
service back on. Verified kcalc was in simple mode and restarted. Kcalc now has
its menu. So, looks like this is fixed!
