Bug ID: 502430 Summary: transform layer with liquify prevents file from loading correctly Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.2.9 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Filter Layers Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: yuval...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY when using a transform layer on liquify mode, with some more complex setup (usually involving filter masks), saving and opening the file again causes the transform layer to completely erase everything under it. hiding the transform layer does not fix the embed. you have to hide and unhide some specific layer deep down in the layer stack to fix the preview. NOTE: my friend tested this in 5.1.5 and it DOES NOT happen. this still happens both in 5.2.6 and 5.2.9. STEPS TO REPRODUCE open the included file; found to happen in situation where a transform layer (on liquify) applies to a layer with some filter mask on it OBSERVED RESULT file loads like this: https://i.imgur.com/tT7YLWC.png hiding the transform layer does not fix the preview. you have to also hide and unhide the paint layer itself to fix it. (this gets incredibly difficult to do when you have dozens of layers, as only un-rehiding a very specific layer would fix the preview) EXPECTED RESULT file should load like this (as this is the state in which it was saved) https://i.imgur.com/iBpMolV.png SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
