--- Comment #28 from Charlie Gorichanaz <char...@gorichanaz.com> ---
I believe "this" still happens for me, even in Digikam 8.6.0. What usually
happens for me is I:

1. Go to the "Unknown" people listing screen.
2. Select a bunch of faces that are super blurry or I don't care about in the
first rows.
3. Click the "Ignore" button on one of them. They will instantly disappear.
4. Click in the box for the next face to whom I want to apply a name and start
typing the name.
5. While still typing, some of the photos that disappeared have now reappeared
and then disappear again one by one. While this is happening and I am still
typing, anything can seemingly happen. Selection changes, first part of what I
typed disappears and only the end of the name shows up, sometimes on the wrong
photo. Tools can get opened like image editing popups. God forbid I didn't type
"Enter" and have no way to tell what action I wrongly took. It's scary.

The same type of thing happens when I assign names instead of ignoring. I
assume it's any time metadata is written for the files that causes them to
reappear and then disappear again.

If possible, I try to minimize this issue by working from the bottom of the
screen. That way, if photos I already took action on appear and reappear, they
are less likely to screw up the one I have moved onto typing into.
