SUMMARY
Tracking down this issue was difficult becuase I was unsure what was causing
it, after some experimentation I have determined that MprisRemote in kdeconnect
was causing youtube video playback to restart when the video was paused for too
long and when the video playback ended (end of video) it would start from the
begining and not allow autoplay. This happens on vivaldi browser and brave
browser but I imagine it would happen on every browser. I am using a android
phone with the kdeconnect app paired. I am unsure if the problem lies with the
android app or the kdeconnect software installed on my computer.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. have kdeconnect installed and paired to an android phone (maybe its
reproducable on iOS)
2. start video playback on browser and pause it (possibly reproducable with
other playback like VLC)
3. wait for what seems to be a random amount of time until the video playback
resets back to the start of the video
OBSERVED RESULT
When video is paused and left paused it will restart playback.
When video gets to the end it will restart playback.
EXPECTED RESULT
the video playback should remain paused or remain at the end so that I can have
youtube autoplay work
