I too find > it annoying global menus do not show up properly in GTK under wayland The only workaround is to disable global menus for misbehaving apps by blacklisting them in dconf: /org/appmenu/gtk-module/blacklist Or just enable dconf: /org/appmenu/gtk-module/always-show-inner-menu to disable global menus for all GTK apps. Use Dconf Editor for the above.
