SUMMARY
I am not sure if this a feature or a bug. I am also not sure whether this is a
restriction in % or in pixels. If it's in %, then for ultra wide screens this
makes a bigger difference in absolute numbers as for my small 14" laptop
screen.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. The config for custom tiling in Meta+T doesn't seem to matter. I've tested
it with no tile at all.
2. Tile, e.g. Kate or Dolphin, to the left or right, e.g. by Meta+Arrow keys or
by dragging it to the edge
3. Start dragging the edge of the window to resize it
OBSERVED RESULT
Can only resize the window up to ~ 80% of the screen size.
EXPECTED RESULT
Can resize the window up to 100%.
