Bug ID: 501564 Summary: Regression with timezones not using acronyms anymore Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.12.3 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: fabian.espos...@outlook.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 179447 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=179447&action=edit Comparison of proprieties window of two different version of Dolphin # SUMMARY In various parts of Dolphin (Properties window, overwriting window, etc.), timezones are no longer displayed as acronyms. As an Italian user, I now see the three dates (Creation, Modification, and Access) followed by "Ora standard dell’Europa centrale" instead of the more concise "CET". This also causes issues with window width. The problem shows in various languages. I have attached an image showing the current display (Dolphin – Version 24.12.3) on the left, and how it used to appear (Dolphin – Version 23.08.5) on the right. Related discussion: https://discuss.kde.org/t/dolphin-bring-cet-back/31533 # STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin. 2. Right-click on a file. 3. Select "Properties". # OBSERVED RESULT The timezone is displayed as "Ora standard dell’Europa centrale". # EXPECTED RESULT The timezone should be displayed as "CET". # SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.6-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
