Bug ID: 500915 Summary: Bluetooth widget "unpins" from tray area and becomes useless when bluetooth service is restarted Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.5 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Bluetooth widget Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: php4...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY Usually the Bluetooth icon is always visible in the tray area. After I restarted the bluetooth service with `systemctl restart bluetooth`, however, the Bluetooth icon disappeared from the tray area. So I clicked on the "^" (show hidden icons), and Bluetooth was in there; however, it doesn't work properly: even if a device automatically connects, it will show "no devices paired". It's kind of as if the UI got "disconnected" from the service (besides "hiding" with the hidden icons for no reason). Also I now see that in System Settings -> Bluetooth, it says "Bluetooth disabled" and the Enable button apparently does nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. restart the bluetooth service 2. try to use the Bluetooth widget OBSERVED RESULT see above EXPECTED RESULT should work SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.6.75-2-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1255U Memory: 15.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
