After reading up on the APIs, it took me literally less than 20 minutes to get this working (speaks highly of the toolchain!), but the implementation details are something I'll need advice on - like, do we care if the settings are backwards-compatible, do we want separate custom formats for the popup and the widget, stuff like that.
