            Bug ID: 500407
Summary: Merkuro Contacts sets Nickname back to empty on save
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Merkuro
           Version: 24.12.2
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: claudio.cam...@kde.org
          Reporter: rixx-...@cutebit.de
                CC: c...@carlschwan.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

Summary: Nicknames in the expanded name entry form appear to be saved, but when
opening the contact again, they are a) not shown, and b) hitting save will save
the field as empty.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the edit window for any contact
2. Click on "advanced" next to their name
3. Enter "test" in the nickname field
4. Save
5. Observe: The contact details show "Nickname: test"
6. Open contact again
7. Save contact
8. Observe: Their nickname is gone

OBSERVED RESULT
If you don't pay very close attention, you may just empty all your stored
nickname data when editing your contacts in Merkuro!

This is exacerbated by the fact that currently, the "cancel" button in the
contact edit window does not appear to work for me, so hitting "save" even
after not editing anything is the obvious choice.

EXPECTED RESULT
Data that was present and not edited is not silently deleted.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
Merkuro: 24.12.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2 and built against 6.8.1
