Bug ID: 500379 Summary: [kpersonalizer?] Desktop widget manager can not be scrolled with finger on a touchscreen Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: bugs_kde_org.5.k...@spamgourmet.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 178569 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=178569&action=edit scrolling in widget menu on touchscreen SUMMARY When you open the desktop widget manager on a touchscreen you can not scroll through the menu. If you try to move the list the icon which you touched to move the view is grabbed like you move it onto the desktop STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open desktop widget manager 2. Scroll through the widget list with your finger OBSERVED RESULT Icon is grabbed instead moving the list EXPECTED RESULT Scrolling through the list. In my opinion the solution could be to press and hold the widget if you want to drag it onto the desktop. It works like this on Android and iOS as well so people should be familiar with this behaviour. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION No idea if this is really the right component, but kpersonalizer sounded like the right application even though I wasn't able to find it in the general bug issue list even though it is listed in the browsing overview. Feel free to move it to wherever it actually belongs in! I also found this bug on a test device, but I wasn't able to record it (so I didn't report it). Then I saw the same issue mentioned in a review on YouTube which explains the issue quite good so I don't have to bother to try to get a device with a touch screen just for this issue.
