I cannot reproduce on Windows 11 with 24.12.2 installed.
The project loaded fine, played back smoothly, and rendering started
immediately. No issues whatsoever.
In the video you shared showing the steps and the delayed rendering start and
final crash, I noticed a few things:
* The render goes to a drive F: Is this an external drive or a USB stick?
* You changed the folder for project files to custom. Are you sure about that?
And why did you do this?
* You selected the .kdenlive project file in the render output file dialog and
then removed the .kdenlive suffix. This is an odd way of selecting the output
because by default Kdenlive uses the project filename as the output filename
anyway.
I suggest you try to shorten the filename drastically and try again. Also, use
an internal drive and a simple folder name close to root (for example C:\Test)
