Bug ID: 499701
Summary: Cover art not shown for album contained in a folder
named "100% Fun"
Classification: Applications
Product: Elisa
Version: 23.08.5
Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Elisa fails to show embedded cover art for the Matthew Sweet album "100% Fun"
in the "Albums" pane. It just shows the fallback icon. If I rename the
*folder* containing the .mp3 files from "100% Fun" to "A Lot of Fun", the album
appears properly.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I have the Matthew Sweet album "100% Fun" in my music directory, with e.g.
relative path
Matthew Sweet/100% Fun/01 Sick Of Myself.mp3
for the first song in the album. Each track of the album contains an embedded
498x500 image of the cover art. The tags are all ID3v2.4 tags. They are all
tagged as "Front cover" (CF) images, and show up fine when I look at the track
files in Puddletag. I can also export them from the tracks as .jpg, and those
.jpg files open up fine in gwenview.
2. Do 'Reset database and re-scan everything', just to be sure.
OBSERVED RESULT
In the Albums pane, the album is shown without the embedded cover art, just
with the fallback icon.
EXPECTED RESULT
The embedded album art should appear in the Albums view.
