Bug ID: 499530 Summary: Floating panel does not de-float when virtual keyboard is shown Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.5 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: tmoersch...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 177980 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=177980&action=edit Screenshot of the virtual keyboard and panel overlapping SUMMARY If one has a panel on the bottom edge and focuses a text entry while the panel is floating, it will not de-float when the virtual keyboard opens. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable floating panel on bottom edge 2. Open an application, not full-screen 3. Focus a text entry with touch OBSERVED RESULT Panel does not de-float, but the virtual keyboard is positioned against the de-floated position, creating a small overlap. EXPECTED RESULT Either the panel should de-float when the virtual keyboard is active. Alternatively, the virtual keyboard could positioned to play nice with a still-floating panel, but I feel that would be somewhat more complicated.
