I can confirm this in 5.3.0-prealpha (git 61bab5e)
Of note is that if you save and load the file with the assistant, the
perspective sensor works as expected, however, if you then adjust this old
assistant, the sensor goes back to being extreme again. I wonder if maybe the
assistant tool is double-creating the perspective sensor area? Either way, when
loading it works fine, when created from a change in the assistant tool it does
not.
