            Bug ID: 498262
           Summary: View/Borders preferences don't save
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
           Version: 22.12.3
          Platform: Debian stable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kwrite
          Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: m...@trilliumdigital.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
My View/Borders preferences don't save.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Uncheck View/Borders/ShowLineNumbers and View/Borders/ScrollbarMini-Map
2. Save a text document and close Kwrite
3. Reopen Kwrite

OBSERVED RESULT
The preference didn't save; the two features are back on again.

EXPECTED RESULT
The preference should have been saved; the two features should remain off.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Debian 12 has no such package as "kinfo".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I searched for this bug before adding. I have tested ALL available text
editors. Medit support no longer available in Debian 12. Due to the feature
set, Kwrite is now my only viable text editor. Kwrite v22.12.3 is the one
recommended as stable by Debian 12, and therefore installed. If there is
already a fix, I'd appreciate knowing about it. If not, please add this fix to
the next revision. Thanks for your efforts.
