            Bug ID: 497729
Summary: Dolphin doesn't respect setting a new view display
                    style as default
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 24.12.0
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: pavel23...@proton.me
                CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I use dolphin with "Remember display style for each folder" selected in the
settings, that works as expected. However starting with the version 24.12.0, it
suddenly changed the default view when it isn't modified for a folder to ALWAYS
"Icons" and there doesn't seem to be any way to change this default, even when
using "View > Adjust View Display Style..." menu. This breaks my workflow,
where I expect all folders to open with details view I preconfigured, except
those I manually modify, this way I need to manually change to details mode
EVERY time I enter a folder for the 1st time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use options "Remember display style for each folder"
2. Go to "View > Adjust View Display Style..."
3. Configure a custom view different from the original one (e.g. Details view)
and make sure to check "Use as default view settings"
4. Open some directory without custom display style

OBSERVED RESULT
The "Icons" view is ALWAYS used by default, despite attempts to configure a new
default one.

EXPECTED RESULT
The previously set view, using the "Adjust View Display Style..." menu, should
always be in use when there isn't a different view manually modified by the
user.
