Bug ID: 497605 Summary: MTP not working. Says "Could not enter folder /Internal storage." Classification: Frameworks and Libraries Product: kio-extras Version: 24.12.0 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: MTP Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: wrought.iron...@gmail.com CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I try to mount my phone's storage via MTP, dolphin fails to do so. Since kiod automatically grabs all MTP devices and plasma-workspace depends on kio-extras, I'm deadlocked out of accessing my phone via MTP using any and all means. This problem has persisted for me for over a year now, and there was never a time when it did work for me. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Attach phone via USB-C. 2. Unlock phone and grant file access. 3. Open "Disks & Devices" via the Task Manager. 4. Click "Open in File Manager," and witness Dolphin launch. 5. Open the "Internal Storage" folder, and witness Dolphin throw an error saying "Could not enter folder /Internal storage." OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin errors out with "Could not enter folder /Internal storage." EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin opens the desired folder on my phone via MTP. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION My phone registers as a Portable Media Player named "SAMSUNG_Android" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
