Hi Tracey,

Thanks for following up and referencing Vlad's observation—it was the key
detail I needed to track down the issue.

When I restored some configuration files to $HOME/.config, I brought back the
Activity Manager files ($HOME/.config/kactivitymanagerd*) and reintroduced the
"Show Activity Manager" plasmoid.

I really appreciate everyone's help with this. Thank you again!
