You use your backup file on a different PC running a different distro. What might be more informative is if you were able to transfer your backup file (or a copy of), to your first PC and see if that works. If so, it might indicate a problem with your original file. Generally, any errors that show on saving are from the consistency check, and are not necessarily related to the current operations, but are often historic, from original file creations.
