Screenshot from Digital Clock applet.

SUMMARY
When you activate alternate calendar, Events pane also enabled. which by
default contains no event. The expected behavior should be for example when you
activate "Astronomical Events" and "Holidays", Event section enabled. This is
obviously very minor thing but improves user experience.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure Digital Clock applet
2. Go to Calendar section
3. Activate Alternate Calendar
4. Choose any "Calendar system" (e.g. Chinese Lunar Calendar)

OBSERVED RESULT
big square "No events for today" which uses plenty of space.

EXPECTED RESULT
Events pane disabled when you just only activate Alternate Calendar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

calendar info. but It is big space for little information. (refer to
attachment).
